There was a sense of both defiance and shame about the loss of the great ship, and the most you’d hear was a muttered “She was all right when she left here”. This all changed when James Cameron's blockbuster Titanic hit the cinemas. This walking tour takes you right into the heart of Belfast’s dynamic Titanic Quarter. You’ll learn about the origins of the city’s shipbuilding industry, stand on the slipway where Titanic was built and hear how new industries like film and TV production are making their mark on Belfast. There are cafes and a supermarket at the Titanic Kit sculpture, and a cafe at the Alexandra Dock which is due to re-open.
