Starting outside St Paul's Cathedral, which dominated London in Victorian times, you’ll wind your way through ancient alleyways and churchyards including St Peter's and Cheapside from where the young writer first entered the city. You’ll hear stories about the characters connected with the city, particularly Ebenezer Scrooge who saw the Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come on the steps of the Royal Exchange. Along the way, I’ll point out historical buildings wedged between modern structures, giving London its unique character. The tour ends at the ornate Leadenhall Market, a favourite backdrop for Dickensian films being shot.
