In 2012, Brunel University's Director of Product design Paul Turnock created a project with the Early Learning Centre to create a new original toy that would both entertain children and aid their development. In one week, every design student imagined a completely new product from brief. Six students were chosen to take their ideas to design and development phase, and while there were many incredibly creative ideas, it was Industrial Design and Technology student Ben Alport's giraffe that won the votes.Ben created the Drop and Pop Giraffe Drop the balls into the slot in the giraffe's head for the music to play and wait for the balls to pop randomly out of the giraffe's feet. The feet light up as the balls pop and the giraffe plays four fun tunes to keep you going! See how fast you can pop the balls in, and try to guess which colour will pop out of which of the giraffe's feet. Can we name all of the colours? The play balls are soft but sturdy, and are also fun to roll, throw, crawl after and catch.Suitable from 12 months.
