Built in 1931, this historic building is done in the grand old style of Art Deco, the same as Radio City Music Hall. Overlooking Broadway, a short walk away from Times Square and ideally situated for business travelers, Edison Hotel puts you right in the heart of one of the most exciting and interesting cities in the world. Rich in history, back in the 1950s, the Edison Theatre used to be located in the Edison Hotel. Capable of seating up to 500, the theatre was converted into the Hotel’s Ballroom till the 1970s, when it re-opened as a theatre. The theatre was finally closed after the death of leaseholder and producer, Norman Kean in 1991. You can still visit this famous location and enjoy the beauty of its art deco interiors.
