Cellar for up to 3 years. Serve chilled. One of California’s legendary wineries, Duckhorn was founded by Dan and Margaret Duckhorn in 1976 and soon established an unrivalled reputation for world-class Merlot wines made from some of Napa Valley’s finest vineyards. In 1985 the winery launched their Duckhorn Decoy brand which is designed to offer exceptional value for money and an easy-going fruit-forward style. Made primarily from Syrah along with some Vermentino, Carignan and Grenache, this stunning rosé was inspired by the elegant and ethereal rosé wines of Provence in southern France. Rather than just bleeding off some of the juice destined for red wine production, this rosé is made from dedicated grapes specifically harvested earlier to ensure plenty of freshness and aromatics. The grapes are fermented in stainless steel tanks to capture the purity and elegance of the fruit. Crisp redcurrant, cherry and raspberry notes burst out of the glass, while the first sip reveals a mouthwatering freshness, bright red berry notes and a pure, clean finish. The vivacious flavour profile makes this a great partner for salads, salmon dishes and roasted chicken as well as a generous platter of creamy and hard cheeses and French and Italian-style charcuterie.
