This Neutral Density filter kit contains three ND filters which reduce the light level reaching the lens. The strengths are ND2, ND4 and ND8.These filters are especially useful for controlling depth of field by allowing wider apertures to be used in brighter conditions. They are also useful for facilitating longer shutter speeds to give more of a sense of motion. A well-used example is that of a waterfall or waves on a beach, which take on a wispy, fibrous texture when longer exposures are used.A Cokin P Series holder is also supplied with these square slot-in filters, but you will also need a P Series adapter ring to fit onto the end of your lens.
