The Berthier estate spans 32 hectares in the Coteaux du Giennois and Sancerre regions of the Loire Valley. Brothers Clément and Florian, the fifth generation of Berthier winemakers, have continued their family's tradition since taking over in 2013. Florian focuses on the vineyards, utilising organic and minimal intervention practices, while Clément oversees the wine cellar and sales, striving to express the unique terroir of their appellations. Their father, Jean Marie, established the estate in 1980 with a modest 16 hectares, primarily located in the Giennois. On the palate, Terre de Silex delivers a bold and structured blast of fruit flavours with pronounced minerality and a well-rounded body. It offers hints of green pepper, grapefruit, and a distinct flinty character. The acidity is perfectly balanced, creating a refreshing and racy profile that leads into a long, lingering finish.
