Drink it now or cellar for up to 10 years. No need to decant. Founded in 1802 by Charles Gonet, the Michel Gonet Champagne house is still family owned and is now managed by Sophie Gonet, daughter of Michel. For over 7 generations, this winery has produced Champagnes that have won countless awards. The Maison currently owns over 40 hectares of vineyards that extend south of Epernay, from the Grand Cru villages of Avize, Oger, and Le Mesnil sur Oger, to the hills of Sezannes and Vindey for a total of about 200,000 bottles produced per year. The total grape production is 80% Chardonnay and 20% Pinot Noir. The Cuvée 3 Terroirs Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru is a 100% Chardonnay champagne, born from a blend of grapes selected from their best plots in the 3 terroirs of Mesnil sur Oger, Vindey and Montgueux. The wine shows a bright golden color. The nose offers a good complexity with subtle aromas of white flowers, stone and citrus fruit, followed by toasted almonds, brioche, and hints of butter. In the mouth, it is lively with persistent and fine bubbles, savory flavors, and mineral purity. It has a structured body and good intensity. Its freshness and softness make it an excellent aperitif, but it can also accompany slightly spiced dishes.
