Cellar for up to 10 years. Serve chilled. The historic Agrapart estate was founded in 1894 by Arthur Agrapart and is still run by the family to this day. The current owners are Pascal Agrapart and his brother Fabrice who have sought to emphasize the influence of terroir in their wines and to work in harmony with nature since taking over in 1984. In the vineyard the family avoids using chemical pesticides or weed killers and they carry out all of their fermentations using natural yeasts. The Agraparts have 62 parcels of vines in total which mostly lie in the grand cru villages of Avize, Cramant, Oiry and Oger. Their 7 Crus is a sumptuous expression of seven different villages; Avize, Cramant, Oger, Oiry, Avenay Val d’Or, Bergères-les-Vertus and Mardeuil. This Champagne is usually composed of wines from two different vintages and half of the older vintage will be aged in oak to add complexity and richness. The result is a wonderfully complex champagne that sparkles with fresh citrus and green apple character along with a crisp acidity. On the palate the mousse is smooth and delicate and the flavours are a perfect balance of bright citrus and toasty hints from the oak ageing.
