Celestron AstroMaster 114EQ Telescope

The Celestron AstroMaster 114EQ Telescope is part of the AstroMaster series which produce bright, clear images of the Moon and planets. It is easy to see the moons of Jupiter and the rings of Saturn with every one of these fine instruments. For views of the brighter deep space objects like galaxies and nebulae, we recommend the larger aperture and light gathering ability of the Newtonian reflectors. With the permanently mounted StarPointer and erect image optics, the AstroMaster is ideal for both terrestrial and celestial viewing, also featuring a German equatorial mount with Setting Circles – to accurately locate and track sky objects so you can set your sights for that perfect view of the stars and other celestial objects of interest, all shown in crisp clear detail thanks to the all coated glass optics. Quick and easy to set up using the quick release dovetail attachment with no tools required, the telescope also comes complete with a deluxe accessory tray for convenient storage of all your accessories, a rugged pre-assembled tripod with 1.25” steel tube legs as a sturdy, rigid viewing platform for much improved images, and The Sky Level 1 planetarium software with 10,000 object database and enhanced images to help you achieve the best star gazing experience from your scope and see everything you want to see.Key Features: Quick and easy no-tool setup with quick release dovetail attachment Permanently mounted StarPointer Erect image optics - Ideal for terrestrial and astronomical use German Equatorial mount with Setting circles - to accurately locate and track sky objects Rugged pre-assembled tripod with 1.25 steel tube legs - Provides a rigid and stable platform All coated glass optics for clear, crisp images Deluxe accessory tray for convenient storage of accessories “TheSkyX – First Light Edition” astronomy software with a 10,000 object database, printable sky maps and 75 enhanced images In the Box:Astromaster 114EQ TelescopeStainless Steel Tripod 10mm eyepiece 20mm eyepiece Star Diagonal Starpointer Finderscope CD ROM The Sky Level 1 Virtual Planetarium Software Instruction ManualSpecifications: Optical Design: Newtonian Reflector Aperture (mm): 114 mm (4.49 in) Focal Length: 1000 mm (39 in) Magnification of Eyepiece 1: 50 x Magnification of Eyepiece 2: 100 x Highest Useful Magnification: 269 x Lowest Useful Magnification: 16 x Limiting Stellar Magnitude: 12.8 Light Gathering Power (Compared to human eye): 265 x Apparent Field of View: 1 ° Linear Field of View (@1000 yds): 53 ft (16 m)
