Carpene Malvolti 1868 Brut Prosecco Superiore

Enjoy now or cellar for a couple of years. Serve chilled. Carpenè Maltovi is a prestigious family winery in the Treviso province of Italy, with a viticultural history extending back to 1868. Founder Antonio Carpenè was one of the original producers of sparkling wine in the country, and set the standard for generations afterwards. The winery’s homeland is the Conegliano Valdobbiadene region. Antonio Carpenè founded one of Italy’s first oenological schools in Conegliano, cementing the city’s place as the capital of Prosecco. Nowadays, Rosanna Carpenè carries on that legacy, as the first woman leader in the winery’s history. The Superiore is made from Glera grapes and is showcasing a deep bouquet of ripe yellow apple, grapefruit and minerality, this is a quintessential choice for fans of Prosecco. In the mouth, it is a pleasant mixture of bright acidity and velvety mouthfeel, with persistent floral and fruity flavours. As the experience progresses, there are deeper aromas of jasmine and acacia to be found. This is a Brut Prosecco, ideal for pairing with pastries or desserts on special occasions or enjoying with family and friends.
