The company, now managed by the third generation of the family, owns about 22 hectares of vineyards located northeast of Montepulciano at about 300 m above sea level. Il Nocio is a Nobile di Montepulciano produced with Sangiovese grapes harvested manually from their cru Vigna del Nocio. After a maceration period of about 10 days, fermentation takes place in oak vats with indigenous yeasts and the finished wine ages for 18-24 months in Slavonian barrels, before finishing in the bottle where it rests for another year. The wine has a bright and intense color with ruby ​​tones and some garnet nuances. On the nose it reveals a rich and complex aromatic profile with fragrant notes of blueberry, plum and undergrowth, floral hints of violet and dried flowers, and then aromas of cocoa, sweet spices and aromatic herbs.
