Bodega Noemia A Lisa Semillon 2019

Drink it now or cellar for up to 8 years. No need to decant. Located in the Rio Negro region of Patagonia, Bodega Noemia was founded in 2001 by Countess Noemi Marone Cinzano and Danish winemaker Hans Vinding-Diers. They decided to acquire and renovate an ancient cellar dating back to the 1930s and old vineyards from which they now produce excellent Argentine wines, mainly based on Malbec. The A Lisa white wine is produced with 100% Semillon grapes, coming from vineyards that are approximately 60 years old. Fermentation takes place with selected grapes imported from Burgundy partly in stainless steel tanks and partly in French oak barrels. It is the first white wine from Bodega Noemia and a reference to the origins of the oenologist Hans Vinding-Diers, given that his father Peter was famous for the production of excellent Semillon wines in Bordeaux. The wine has a brilliant color with straw yellow tones and bright golden reflections. On the nose, it is fragrant and expressive with aromas of tropical fruits such as mango, melon papaya, and citrus fruits followed by floral and mineral hints. On the palate, it is fresh, lively and balanced. Thanks to the partial fermentation in oak barrels, it acquires an almost creamy texture and some buttery notes. Try it with chicken, trout, or salmon and lobster.
