Bamboo Garden Hotel Beijing

The Bamboo Garden is a classical Chinese garden-style structure in a quiet lane west of the Drum Tower in Beijing. The guesthouse was formerly the residence of Sheng Xuanhuai, the Minister of Post of the late Qing Dynasty1644-1911. It is also said to be the garden of Li Lianying, a noted eunuch of the Qing Dynasty. Since the late Qing Dynasty, many celebrated Chinese people, including Ma Hansan, Dong Biwu, and Kang Sheng had lived in this guesthouse. The halls and pavillions in the building are linked by tortuous, long corridors, with a tranquil and elegant surrounding of bamboo groves, rockeries, and fountains. The hotel sees blooming flowers in spring, colorful lanterns and green bamboo swaying in the breeze in summer and autumn, and pines and snows in winter, all making the hotel an ideal place to hold banquets and greet guests.
