Drink now or cellar for up to 8 years. No need to decant before serving. This sparky red comes from La Rioja Alta winery which has specialised in crafting magnificent Rioja reds since 1890. In 1991 after extensive research the winery’s expert enologists selected the town of Anguix in Ribera del Duero as the next big thing and they soon began cultivating vineyards on the estate’s most promising sites. The Aster Crianza is testament to the winery’s dedication and passion for showcasing the very best the Tempranillo grape has to offer in this new terroir. The wine is crafted from 100% Tempranillo grapes and is aged for 12 months in oak barrels before bottling for extra polish and complexity. One standout feature of the Aster Crianza is its delicate balance between ripe fruit and tannin. The tannins are well-integrated, providing structure to the wine without overpowering the fruit flavors. On the palate, Aster Crianza 2019 is full-bodied and complex, with flavors of luscious blackberry, cherry, and toasted spices. This makes it a versatile wine that can be enjoyed on its own or paired with a wide range of dishes including grilled red meats, hearty stews, and aged hard cheeses.
