The Alice Celluloid Pickguard (also known as a scratchplate) is a thin piece of plastic placed under the strings on the body of an acoustic guitar with the purpose of protecting your guitar's wood finish from being scratched by a guitar pick when strumming.Measuring approximately 17cm in length, this pickguard is also a popular autograph surface, since the signed pickguard can easily be detached and moved to another guitar or sold separately as a piece of memorabilia. The pick guard attaches to the guitar body by pre-applied sicky adhesive which is protected by a removable film on the back of the scratchplate.
