It only takes a short stroll to see why Hope Street is the hub of Liverpool's arts and entertainment industry. On this walking tour, I’ll guide you to the best of it. We’ll begin at the magnificent Roman Catholic Metropolitan Cathedral and end at the equally awesome Anglican Liverpool Cathedral. In between, you’ll hear about the city's finest and oldest concert venue, the wonderful Philharmonic Hall, at the heart of Hope Street, as well as the history of its four unique theatres and some of the famous performers who've walked their boards. We’ll pass a diverse range of eateries and restaurants including one of the finest in the country, and I’ll even point out which bar was favoured by the young John Lennon. (His favourite tipple there was rather unusual.)
